I have worn jeans for many years and my deepest feeling is that jeans have never be available in so many style, shapes, fabric or colors. Just because I have tried a lot of jeans I consider it one of my great fashion missions in life to get middle-age women out of their "mom" jeans (those high-waisted, peg-leg jeans that age you by a decade.) and try to wear Boot Cut jeans. However, it doesn’t means that I think we should be wearing the same jeans kids are wearing.
Shopping outside this weekend with my teenage nieces reminded me of the great distinction between the young generation and us that what kind of jeans different generations are suitable and accept. One niece wore a pair of so tattered jeans and torn (a.k.a boyfriend jeans) that I think it is so uniquely fashion that I can’t accept it. Then when we saw some young guys wearing painfully skinny jeans with droopy bottoms so low that their butts were about at the back of their knees, I told the other niece that those boys looked ridiculous; she said they looked hot. I was shocked..
Before this I always think that I'm about as forward-thinking as a middle-aged woman gets. However, when it comes to true religion store I am picky and can’t agree with styles look best on kids. Over these years, I've tried my best to accept just about every incarnation imaginable, from those early, beloved button-fly Levis to newer styles with undetectable stretch. Although jeans are still part of my everyday wardrobe — I have everything from slim jeans to dressier trouser cuts — my favorite jeans are boot cut which has been around for years. The reason it has so much everlasting power is that it helps balance our figure of slim or fat. I like the Long and Lean line from Gap because it seems to have the same function with Boot Cut jeans-- fit through the hips and thighs.
Try Boot Cut jeans if you concern about how to look slimmer. Buy a longer pair than you’d normally wear and put on a pair of high heels if you want to look not only slimmer but also skinnier. Dressing like this You'll look long-legged and elegant. This is what we are always dreaming of.
